Cher Gay Do – R/O Hairspring
Age: 9 years old
Chugedo, a 9‑year‑old boy from Myanmar living near the Thailand–Myanmar border, has suffered from chronic constipation since birth, passing stool only every 4–5 days with pain and occasional soiling that causes social stigma. In August 2026, a Be Well Child Care Foundation clinic identified a large abdominal mass, later confirmed by CT at Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin as severe faecal impaction, with Hirschsprung disease suspected. Confirmation of diagnosis is needed. He now requires specialist tests — anorectal manometry or colonoscopy with rectal biopsy — costing about 200,000 THB before surgery can be planned. With support, Chugedo has the chance to move from pain and embarrassment toward a normal, healthy childhood.

Soso Jibang – Left Eye Trauma
Soso is a 9‑year‑old boy living along the Thailand–Myanmar border who suffered a traumatic left eye injury in 2021 when struck by a rock; surgery was advised but never carried out due to cost, lack of legal status, and family hardship, leaving him blind in that eye for two years. In August 2026, he was examined at a Be Well Child Care Foundation free clinic, where doctors found he still has light perception — a hopeful sign that vision may be restored. Subsequent evaluation confirmed partial corneal damage and a ruptured lens, and he is now scheduled for a retina specialist assessment on 25 September 2026 at Wat Reiking Eye Specialty Hospital. His treatment may involve a corneal transplant, lens replacement, and retina repair, with costs estimated at 150,000 THB. With support, Soso has a real chance to regain sight, confidence, and opportunity, making this case a powerful example of how timely compassion can transform a child’s future.
Baby Fern – Tetralogy of Fallot
Age: 4 years old
A 4-year-old Fern’s story is one of resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. Born in the Karen ethnic territory of Myanmar in January 2022, she entered a world marked by conflict and scarce healthcare. From infancy, her parents noticed her lips and nails turning purple, her energy fading quickly, and her inability to keep up with other children—early signs of a serious heart condition. With no resources, no knowledge and no legal status in Thailand, her family could not access proper care, and her fainting episodes became part of her fragile childhood. At age four, Fern was finally diagnosed at the Children’s Hospital in Bangkok with Tetralogy of Fallot, a life-threatening congenital heart defect. Stateless and uninsured, she now lives at Bilay House Orphanage in Ratchaburi, awaiting urgent surgery that could transform her future. Her journey reflects the vulnerability of children born into poverty and displacement, and the hope that collective compassion and support can give her a chance at a healthy, normal childhood.

Baby Uno, a 4-year-old Karen boy born on April 27, 2020, in Myanmar, is courageously battling VACTERL Association Syndrome — a rare condition affecting multiple body systems. Born without an anus, with an improperly functioning bowel and bladder, a missing kidney, heart on the right side of his chest, and a hole between upper heart chambers.
Duo – Nephrotic Syndrome
Age: 7 years old
Baby Duo, a 7-year-old Karen boy born in April 2017 from Myanmar, is courageously battling Nephrotic Syndrome — a kidney disease characterized by the leakage of large amounts of protein into the urine. His symptoms included puffy face, swollen legs, fatigue, and difficulty urinating.
Trio – Fractured and misaligned left wrist
Age: 12 years old
Baby Trio (Ker Ser Paw), a 12-year-old Karen girl born on June 5, 2011, is the oldest of four children from Karen State, Myanmar. In March 2022, she sustained a fractured left wrist while fleeing her village during a Myanmar military Junta attack. Without healthcare access in the jungle, her injury was managed with improvised care, leading to misaligned bone healing.
Quatro – Peter's Anomaly (congenital ocular anomaly)
Age: 11 years old
Quatro is an 11-year-old Karen girl born in June 2013 who was found abandoned shortly after birth. Rescued by Catherine Riley Bryan (Momo Cat) and taken to Mission Hospital in Bangkok, she received her first eye surgery when she was only ten days old. Diagnosed with Peter's Anomaly, glaucoma, cataract, and total vision loss in her right eye, Quatro has undergone multiple surgeries.
Cinco – Hirschsprung disease
Age: 4 years old
Baby Cinco, born on November 11, 2020, is a Karen boy from PaTaw village, Myanmar, near the Thai-Myanmar border. Born with Hirschsprung disease, a congenital disorder affecting normal bowel function, Cinco endured years of medical challenges including emergency surgery as an infant.
Ceis✝ – Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML M2)
Age: 3 years old
Baby Ceis, a brave 3-year-old Karen boy born on February 16, 2020, from Karen State, Myanmar, faced the challenges of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML M2) with extraordinary courage. Brought to Bewell Clinic by KDHW from Karen State, he was referred to Hua Hin Hospital for evaluation. Despite chemotherapy, the prognosis remained poor. His mother chose palliative care at home, and Ceis passed away peacefully in November 2023.
Siete – Ureter stricture causing severe hydronephrosis and kidney failure
Age: 3 years old
Baby Siete (Saw Nay Blu Htoo), a 3-year-old Karen boy born on October 29, 2022, from a remote hill tribe near the Thai-Myanmar border, has overcome the fight of his life. A congenital ureter stricture went undetected, causing severe hydronephrosis and complete kidney failure on one side.
Ocho – Bell's Palsy (initially suspected congenital cholesteatoma)
Age: 11 years old
Baby Ocho (Kanya), an 11-year-old Karen girl born on September 27, 2013, comes from Baan Huey Num Kao in Kanchanaburi province. Her family struggles to make ends meet with minimal farm income. Ocho's life took a challenging turn when she developed a right facial drop and other symptoms initially linked to a suspected congenital cholesteatoma.
